Omaha // Day 1 & 2

This weekend I got to spend some precious time off before school starts exploring the beautiful city of Omaha with my family! It was the first of 3 little trips I'm getting to take for different reasons before I had back for classes- next I'm headed to Colorado and then northern Minnesota. My sister Sam came home from about 2 months working at an orphanage in Uganda yesterday, so this was the perfect way to celebrate all of us being back together. My family is seriously a blast! I don't know what I'd do without them as support.

Our first night we spent exploring thrift stores and little boutiques in the Old Market area of Omaha. There were some really incredible independently owned shops- I'd definitely say this is the area to check out if you're visiting Omaha. We ate at a quite tasty place called The Twisted Fork in that same area. Yummmmmmm.

The next day we all headed to the Omaha Zoo. These are the three of us older kids below- we were so excited to be reunited! These two are master exploring partners, let me tell ya'.

What are your weekend plans? Any suggestions for how to spend our last day in the city?
